The International Workshop “Digital Resources and International Information Exchange: East-West” will take place for the fifth time. It has become a popular professional event in the U.S. library and information community. The Year 2002 Topic was as follows: “Russia – America: A New Level of Partnership”.
Crucial problems of the library and information technologies, professional collaboration, business and legal issues in relation to international cooperation were discussed at the Workshop and solutions for new projects and initiatives were suggested. The emphasis was made on the changes in political climate as Russia and the US embark on a new level of cooperation and understanding, particularly after the day of 09/11/01.
